Import & Export
TorrinPass makes it easy to import passwords from other password managers and browsers.
Importing Passwords
Section titled “Importing Passwords”Supported Formats
Section titled “Supported Formats”TorrinPass can import from:
- 1Password (CSV export)
- Bitwarden (CSV export)
- LastPass (CSV export)
- Dashlane (CSV export)
- Chrome (CSV export)
- Safari (CSV export)
- Generic CSV (with proper columns)
How to Import
Section titled “How to Import”- Export passwords from your current app (see below)
- Open TorrinPass
- Go to Settings → Import Passwords
- Select the source app
- Choose the exported file
- Review and confirm import
Exporting from Other Apps
Section titled “Exporting from Other Apps”From 1Password
Section titled “From 1Password”- Open 1Password on desktop
- File → Export → All Items
- Choose CSV format
- Save the file
From Bitwarden
Section titled “From Bitwarden”- Log into Bitwarden web vault
- Tools → Export Vault
- Choose CSV format
- Download the file
From LastPass
Section titled “From LastPass”- Log into LastPass web vault
- Advanced Options → Export
- Download the CSV file
From Chrome
Section titled “From Chrome”- Open Chrome Settings
- Passwords → Saved Passwords
- Click ⋮ → Export passwords
- Save the CSV file
From Safari
Section titled “From Safari”- Open Safari Preferences
- Passwords tab
- Click ⋮ → Export Passwords
- Save the CSV file
After Import
Section titled “After Import”- Verify — Check that all passwords imported correctly
- Delete export file — The CSV contains unencrypted passwords
- Update weak passwords — Use the password generator
Exporting from TorrinPass
Section titled “Exporting from TorrinPass”- Go to Settings → Export Passwords
- Authenticate with Face ID/Touch ID
- Choose format (CSV)
- Save or share the file
- Delete the file when done
